Clean Hospitals would like to repeat a call for cleaners to be recognised as essential ‘critical or key workers’ due to the vital need to maintain high hygiene standards. They are the unsung heroes of the healthcare sector who keep us safe during this terrible outbreak and especially after.

This group is hugely ignored, forgotten and described as unskilled workers – cleaners.

They are doing their best to keep our places hygienic and safe. They are doing an extraordinary job and they deserve all the protection and support we can give them in these extreme difficult times.

Very often the role of cleaners is invisible and forgotten. Their work couldn’t be more important, particulary now in the fight against COVID-19.

Cleaning: specific knowledge and accurate finalities.

You only understand how much skills and know-hows are needed, when you have been confronted to the complexity of cleaning processes.

This reinforces our call for cleaners to be given essential status due to the need for high hygiene standards.

Improving the cleaners working conditions is a must !

Clean Hospital members have products, equipment, services and machinery to reduce the risk to human health by providing and maintaining clean, sanitised and safe premises and environments.

All together we will be able to make a difference.
