Welcome to you all to the 2nd Clean Hospitals Day,
The mission of Clean Hospitals is to reduce the burden of healthcare-associated infections all around the world by improving environmental hygiene practices. Our project is connecting healthcare environmental hygiene stakeholders from all over the world.
We are working with academia and industry to protect healthcare workers, patients and the environment. As many of you know form my work in hand hygiene, I have dedicated my whole career to infection prevention and control. Although it is crucial for patient safety, healthcare environmental hygiene is often ignored and underfunded. This issue as well as the burden of healthcare-associated infections affect us all, in all types of healthcare institutions, across all resource levels.
Clean Hospitals is launching the second global Clean Hospitals Day on 20/10/2021. This year we are launching a SoMe campaign, providing some visual reminders for healthcare facilities. I am also giving a keynote lecture about the initiative at INDEX 2020 and a Webber Teleclass in French and English. In it, I will address the most pressing current topics, and describe the work and initiatives that we have been working on over the last year. Last but not least, we are also launching the Clean Hospitals Digital Days on 20/10/2021.
This global initiative will only grow over time and save many lives in the years to come. We invite you to join us! Connect with us on https://cleanhospitals.com/ , facebook, Linked-in and twitter !
