Clean Hospitals team joined forces to put some context in the current aerolization debate.

 

The team-work related to the SARS-CoV-2 gives a short overview about the factual information and evidence-based studies available.

Clean Hospitals Chair Prof. Pittet, Research Director Jon Otter, Lead, Research and Educational program Development Alexandra Peters Education Director Pierre Parneix continue to support assertion that transmission of SARS-CoV-2 is primarily through droplets and contact (including indirect contact with contaminated surfaces). Aerosols are likely to be generated through a small number of clinical procedures, but that these are not the main way the virus spreads in the community.
